The Forest

Behind, under, and sometimes even above, the snow leopards lurk. It's a bit hard to camouflage around here, but they make it work. It's also a simple place to keep kits hidden from the lurking danger of the wild.

Zambi strode among the woods, searching for Tiny, her snake mother. The boa had slithered off last night, while she slept. Now she was worried sick, looking for her mum. She remembered the first time the snake had done this, right after she shedded. It had scared the one year old Zambi almost to death, thinking the only one who cared for her had dissinigrated. She chuckled, continuing along through the woods. It was quite nice, in the peace and quiet of the land. She paused for a moment, resting in the ferns and leaning against a tree. She decided it would do no good to search for the snake. She'd come when she wanted to, and Zambi could do nothing more than wait. Which she did, quite well. She hummed to herself, breathing in the light layer of mist.
